“Israel Beyond the Conflict”

Beyond images of a country at war, Israel is in fact a prosperous, industrious, creative, technologically advanced and generous nation. This presentation looks at the many contributions that Israel has already made to the world in many fields.
J.J. Surbeck is a lawyer specializing in international law. For 16 years he worked for the International Committee of the Red Cross. He will discuss the Middle East Conflict.

“A Just Peace in the Middle East: What does it look like and how to achieve it?”
Dr. Nasser Barghouti will examine the root causes for the century old conflict in the Middle East and explore the Palestinian narrative for the conflict. He will outline a vision for a resolution for the conflict based on the universal concepts of equality, human, economic and cultural rights and justice.
Dr. Barghouti is President of the American– Arab anti– Discrimination League in San Diego, member of the Board of Directors of the ACLU San Diego and Imperial Counties and co– founder of Objective Software Solutions.
